Program Notes

REM was commissioned by the Case Ensemble to be premiered at Carnegie Hall in February of 2013. The work is a series of character pieces based on my wife Emily and two daughters Maia and Ruby. While the movements are not meant to be literal representations they are instead characteristic of their natures.
